VIDEO: Potential Super Typhoon threat for Philippines, as another typhoon aims for Vietnam

In our special Western Pacific Typhoon update we’re tracking two storms. The first is Typhoon Kalmaegi (which has already passed over the Philippines with deadly weather) which is heading to Vietnam tonight, then will fall apart over Laos, Cambodia and Thailand as a big rain event.

The second tropical storm was technically still only a “Tropical Depression” when we recorded this on Thursday AM, but it is expected to power up this weekend and grow into a Super Typhoon as it approaches Luzon, Philippines. Landfall in the northern Philippines may be as early as Sunday PM or some time on Monday.

We track these two storms to give you the big picture.
