VIDEO: Rain clouds growing around NZ’s driest regions

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have a little wet weather coming today around NZ but next week perhaps a better chance of some North Island rain with modelling pointing towards a possible sub-tropical low.

If this low next week arrives the timing won’t be a minute too soon with talk of drought now increasing.

The rain over the next 48 hours is a bit patchy / hit and miss. Some isolated heavier falls with a possible thunderstorms otherwise drizzly patches and perhaps some light to moderate rain.

Check your local hourly or daily WeatherWatch and RuralWeather forecast for more details and rainfall totals.
