Jack Tame from TVNZ’s Breakfast Show chats to WeatherWatch.co.nz head forecaster Philip Duncan as Cyclone Gita moves westwards away from Tonga on a several day track into the Tasman Sea.

It’s still too early to know if Cyclone Gita will directly impact New Zealand in any serious way but the various computer models from around the globe are certainly suggesting the most likely track is into the Tasman Sea by this weekend then early next week it drifts into the New Zealand area.

Here’s the latest on the potential tracking.
