We have just a week until Christmas but a number of low pressure systems on the way between now and then.
A low moves into the South Island on Wednesday with a big temperature drop thanks to a southerly change. This low moves into the North Island on Thursday.
By Saturday and Sunday another low sweeps over NZ from the Tasman Sea. Next week high pressure dominates but around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there may be a couple of systems to the very north and very south worth keeping an eye on if having a perfect Christmas Day outdoors means a lot to you.
