Another surge of spring-like westerlies moves over NZ across Saturday with severe gales possible around central NZ and the very southern tip of the country.
This is due to a storm over the Southern Ocean. For the next several days NZ has more westerlies and western rain or showers – with eastern areas the driest, especially the further north up the country you go.
Winds do look to finally ease for a time later next week.
