VIDEO: NZ’s wet weather chances + Xmas Day forecast

We have our first Christmas Day forecast for you (not locked in yet, but we show you what the long range modelling is showing for now).
Over the next five days New Zealand has unsettled weather with some hot, dry days, some windy westerlies again and more sub-tropical air.
There is wet weather in the forecast – we break it down for you.
HOLIDAY WEATHER VIDEO SCHEDULE
- We will have weather videos right up to New Year’s Eve this year, but on a reduced schedule.
- Next week we have NZ weather videos on MONDAY 16th, THURSDAY 19th and FRIDAY 20th.
- We’ll update end of next week about our video schedule for the end of December.

Is there any sign of relief on the horizon for Canterbury Phil?
It’s just day after day after week of howling hot norwesters at the moment. So dry. Going to be a long drought affected summer!!

Hi Mark, sorry to hear that and sadly there is only a little wet weather on the way, nothing substantial for Canterbury yet. Tomorrow/Friday we’ll have a two week rainfall outlook in our weather video (not 100% reliable but a good general guide to the upcoming rain/showers and which regions have the likely highest/lowest totals.
