A weak cold front moves up the South Island on Mataraki Friday, then falls apart over the western North Island as it heads north on Saturday.
Sunday is fairly settled across NZ with a west to north wester developing for some – ahead of a large low coming in to NZ over Monday and Tuesday of next week. It will be followed by wintry weather coming out from Australia and near Antarctica.
But an enormous high is coming in next week (around July 7).
We have your 7 day forecast for our part of the world.
Have a great long weekend – see you again on Monday.
*Programming Note:
Monday we have a NZ Video, an Australian weather update + our next ClimateWatch update looking at the weather trends for the month of July.
