Rain cloud are returning to northern NZ while the South Island is most removed from the incoming weather (but will still get some rain and nor’east winds).
Rain is expected across the North Island in coming days, with dry eastern areas (like Hawke’s Bay) also getting a soaking.
Colder air in southern NZ will surge northwards on Thursday briefly, otherwise high pressure is in control there.
