A very busy weather pattern around New Zealand and Australia means peak spring weather is moving through with heat and cold, wind and calm and wet and dry all in the mix for both nations.
The main feature over the coming days is a storm in the Southern Ocean – this is helping encourage windier and warmer weather into NZ but a colder change tomorrow for Australia.
A cold front and weak low will move up NZ from Thursday to Sunday bringing rain to most regions, including dry parts of the eastern North Island.
In Southland rain will be heavy in the west but lower totals in the east. We have your NZ and Australia forecast through to Sunday – and don’t forget our special 7 Day Pacific Islands Weather Update is also out later today too!
