VIDEO: NZ has high pressure moving in – but the weekend looks messier

Monday is windy in many places as a southerly changes heads up the country – but it eases on Tuesday as high pressure rolls in and covers NZ by Wednesday and Thursday.

By Thursday a subtropical and windier flow starts in the South Island – and this heads northwards over Friday and Saturday.

The weekend has low pressure moving in from the Tasman Sea for the North Island (looks weak at this early stage) but a colder southerly may be coming up the South Island. We have the latest on NZ’s weather from Monday PM through to this coming Sunday.
