The eastern North Island may still have plenty more wet weather coming – not what locals want to hear following flooding, slips and road closures this week.
We take a look at the next several days of wet weather as the low responsible for it completely stalls.
Meanwhile most other parts of NZ are dry or mostly dry – with lighter winds coming too. In Australia – La Nina easterlies and wet eastern weather returns in the week ahead (especially Queensland) and over in WA what was Severe Tropical Cyclone Charlotte is expected to bring wet weather into Perth and other parts of WA as a more normal low pressure zone.

As at 17:00 Friday Melbourne time, the CSIRO ship “RV Investigator was sailing pretty much into the stormy weather off the NE of the North Island. The ship has a live webcam available at “mnf.csiro.au” if you want to have a look at sea conditions.

Seen very unusual behaviour of a couple of Lows North East of New Zealand the past few weeks
