The weather patten around NZ remains unsettled – but summer weather isn’t over yet. A low moving in this weekend from the Tasman Sea will bring in some rain and isolated heavy showers/thunderstorms (mainly Sunday).
By Monday – which is a long weekend for around half of the nation due to Auckland Anniversary Weekend – a strong southerly flow will move in with coastal gales around the country and severe gales possible in some exposed parts of the North Island.
Next week high pressure moves through along with westerlies at times – with southern NZ having more “Autumn-like” temperature fluctuations.
We have your weekend weather and NZ’s rainfall outlook for the final week of January.
