A large low pressure system remains stuck near northern NZ with damaging gales just offshore pushing into land in some exposed eastern areas.
This windy, cooler, sou’east set up will remain until Thursday when the low finally drifts away.
However this weekend yet another low will likely move in – and this looks more nationwide and may well bring yet another southerly change. Not 100% locked in – but modelling has been increasingly suggesting this for days now.
