More rain and low pressure is coming as most regions want sunshine and dry.
Monday kicks of with low pressure around the North Island producing some heavy downpours.
Tuesday sees most showers clearing, although some remain in the south and a few western coastal areas.
Some snow is possible around Southland and the hills and ranges of Otago for a time – this may affect the highways higher up but not the main centres at this stage.
By Wednesday the nation is briefly under some high pressure with a mainly dry and calm day.
However Thursday, Friday and into the weekend sees more low pressure coming in from the Tasman Sea bringing more wet weather, especially to northern and western areas of both islands.
