Sorry eastern North Island, but plenty more rain is yet to move through over the next week before we finally get a break in this stubborn weather pattern.
Despite a building El Nino the neutral pattern we’re still in means there is no main driver for our lows and highs – so it’s quite chaotic. The pattern we’re in now looks to remain for the rest of June.
Over the coming week places like East Cape, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay may still have another 100 to 200mm of rain in the ranges – worth monitoring.
