VIDEO: Monday’s major polar change, low level snow for lower South Island

Biting wind chills and low level snow flurries are in the forecast for the lower South Island while the rest of NZ will see temperatures dropping significantly.

The cold change will move into southern NZ on Sunday night/Monday morning with Monday the coldest day in the south and Tuesday/Wednesday coldest in the north.

We have the latest forecast for the mild weekend and then the cold start to next week.
