VIDEO: Monday Feb 13th – Centre of Cyclone Gabrielle approaches NZ tonight

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We go through the latest tracking for Cyclone Gabrielle and the (many) various moving parts to this system.

NZ’s mountains and ranges play a huge part in breaking up the rain and wind – make it more intense for some, and not so bad for others.

As the cyclone moves in the wind angle will shift around – affecting other places and likely sheltering some others too.

It’s a big storm and a little complicated – but we hope we can make sense of it further for you.

As always, refer to RuralWeather.co.nz and WeatherWatch.co.nz for hourly forecasts at your location – and stay up to date with MetService weather warnings.
