NZ & Australia share the same windy westerly set up this week with severe gales brushing both nations at times due to storms in the Southern Ocean and highs further north.
This set up means temperatures in New Zealand will be above normal by day and night in a number regions – and frosts becoming less likely due to windier weather.
Severe gales brush WA, SA, VIC and TAS – then into parts of New Zealand.
We track the wind, rain and sun in today’s video, which goes out to Saturday.
