VIDEO: Low pressure to dominate NZ for a week

> From the WeatherWatch archives

More warmer than usual weather with rain and heavy showers will continue on for the North Island and upper South Island through the coming weekend and into next week. Large dry areas should form in the west, but eastern and north eastern areas look wettest.

The lower South Island will be driest with some frosts about – but easing. Low pressure looks to remain over NZ until late next week.

Australia has more high pressure but the southern coastline remains stormy at times with another burst of gale westerlies this weekend from the Southern Ocean.
