NZ has a big high rolling in this week with widespread frosts – but by this weekend northerlies and low pressure moves back in from the Tasman Sea.
The low is connected to an unsettled weather pattern dominating the southern coastal side of Australia over the coming week as storms in the Southern Ocean brush past with windy westerlies there. The low should reach NZ in a weakened state this weekend and brings showers, isolated downpours and milder winds. Before that low arrives high pressure brings more dry weather with morning frost and fog patches in both islands.
If you’re travelling, don’t forget RuralWeather.co.nz has a FREE Fog and Frost forecaster for all parts of NZ (including all airports).
