Patchy wet weather will continue around parts of NZ on Thursday night and Friday, mostly for the North Island and clearing the upper South Island.
Over the weekend this very weak low falls apart further.
But a big high (anticyclone) is coming in behind it, locking in colder air over the South Island and lower North Island and bringing frosts back for inland areas to the south.
Next week high pressure dominates – but rain is possible later next week.
