VIDEO: Large low to bring more rain to saturated NZ regions

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A low pressure zone in the Tasman Sea will track north of NZ this weekend and then slide down the eastern side of the North Island – bringing a number of days with rain or showers in the eastern side of the country.

Rainfall totals aren’t huge for most places – but some areas around Gisborne and the Far North may have more than 50mm between now and Monday.

Australia has a series of cold fronts and westerlies along the southern coastline, otherwise high pressure is in charge.
