This weekend we have a chance of 30 degree temperatures and if you fail to reach that, mid to late 20s are still very likely.

Not everyone will feel the heat, we mention which main centres still look a little cool at times.

But overall this weekend sees a significant ramp up in temperatures from Southland northwards. The hot weather continues into next week too – with more above normal temperatures. NZ also leans drier than normal for the next week.
