New Zealand remains in a “high-pressure sandwich” which means high-pressure dominates through central areas while a few showers affect the far north and the lower south.
Humidity has also eased for now in the north.
The next few days look dry for most regions – but shower risks remain at the top and bottom of the nation.
We’re also monitoring a developing and concerning ‘big dry’ around the lower North Island in particular.
