NZ’s seeing a large high roll in this Friday and Saturday, bringing with it a pulse of hotter air out of Australia’s interior. It’s short lived though, by Sunday a cold front moves into the South Island and drops temperatures by up to 10 degrees. The front will weaken as it heads north and fall apart over the South Island.
Next week sees another cold front which doesn’t look to serious – but also more powerful high pressure coming in behind it.
We also take a brief look at Australia with Cyclone Jasper forming and another area of thundery downpours yet again forming in the south-east (Victoria and ACT and SA for example).
Programming Note: We have a special video on Cyclone Jasper out today.
