High pressure from Australia does briefly cross NZ this week bringing some dry weather to both main islands for a time – but a cold front moving into Aussie behind that high will form into a low pressure zone in the Tasman Sea this coming weekend and this will bring another burst of rain and showers to northern NZ.
This Sunday/Monday low will also bring a period of winds – but they will be mild, with sub-tropical airflows once again returning to some regions.
We have the NZ and Australia forecast through to Sunday.
