Gales, rain, snow, sunshine and a temperature drop all make up the spring-like forecast this week as a low rapidly deepens in the next 24 hours bringing a surge of wintry southerlies to the south.
The storm will track away from NZ mid week but both islands will be impacted by a period of rain and wind – we break down the areas most exposed.
