We’re tracking a new possible tropical cyclone forming this weekend around Vanuatu and heading towards NZ.
Unlike Cody this storm may be further west which increases the chances of rain in the NZ.
It’s far too early to lock in – but we show you the weekend guidance which shows a tropical storm heading southwards.
Today, Tuesday, we’re monitoring a large but weak low near the North Island of NZ.
It brings with it some downpours and thunderstorms to the upper North Island over the next 24 hours, while a cooler southerly comes into some parts of the South Island.
We have the NZ, Australia and Tropical Islands forecast through to Sunday.
