*Originally published July 30 — It doesn’t feel like the depths of winter in many places and the latest long range outlook from RuralWeather.co.nz, WeatherWatch and IBM suggests a warmer lean to our weather for the next few months ahead – even with a wintry change possible in August’s second week.,

Rainfall should be normal even slightly above normal in many areas.

Normal rainfall won’t be making up for the annual rainfall deficit but it will be a positive, especially with the milder winds.

We take a detailed look at NZ’s rainfall and temperature trends not only for the month of August but also September and October too. It’s NZ’s most honest climate outlook.
