High pressure will dominate the North Island until Sunday while sub-tropical winds are about to quickly warm up the South Island.
This weekend a low forms in the Tasman Sea and deepens next week. It’s likely to bring a burst of rain or showers to dry parts of northern NZ – and into dry eastern regions too.
Rainfall totals may not be huge but some in the north may get 20 to 30mm. We have the latest – plus temperature trends for the next 2 days.
