VIDEO: Big southerly for Aussie, falls apart in NZ on Sunday/Monday

High pressure dominates NZ while a cold front and deepening low moves into southern Australia in the days ahead.

The cold front will reach the South Island on Sunday and the North Island on Monday in a weakened state – although West Coast rain warnings are possible on Sunday.

By Monday most of NZ will be cooler as the weak front moves through – with very little rain for the North Island generally speaking.

We also take a look at what is happening up in the tropics.
