Another large high pressure zone is slowly tracking towards NZ and will push away and break up the weak low pressure zone near the North Island, bringing increasingly drier skies this weekend.
Monday kicks off with a windier SW flow across NZ, but high pressure moves in properly mid week.
Behind it all may be rain – and an injection of both sub-tropical and antarctic air (but is too early to lock in just yet).
The winter of big weather systems continues. Have a great weekend!
