A big high from Aussie is slowly drifting towards NZ later this week, bringing a frosty weekend to many.
Before this happens a weak low crosses NZ bringing showers and a burst of southerlies on Thursday as it departs to our east.
As this powerful high moves in from TAS to the South Island a large but fairly weak low will form in the Coral Sea and drift into the north Tasman Sea – producing rain for QLD and some parts of NSW, and a developing easterly for northern NZ.
