NZ has a more humid week this week which encourages showers, some possibly heavy, through inland parts of our drought zones.
The country is in between high pressure with one high departing to our east and the next one rolling in by this Sunday from the west. Between these two highs we also have a low forming in the Tasman Sea which will send a weak front into the North Island this weekend bringing some further hit and miss rain relief.
While this won’t end the drought, it is perhaps one of the better weeks we’ve seen this year for some wet weather into the North Island – but not much for Canterbury which is equally becoming seriously dry in the north of the region.
