A cold front will blast across south-eastern Australia over the coming 24 hours before reaching NZ on Saturday as an ‘active cold front’ – that means it’s got the chance of some thunderstorms and heavy downpours.
By Sunday a low will deepen over northern NZ and by Monday it should hopefully be clearing away. Next week NZ has a big uptick in high pressure from out of Australia – and this means a more settled weather pattern with longer dry spells, lighter winds and a better chance of sunshine.
Both NZ and Aussie see a more settled week next week following the unsettled sou-west change over the next few days ahead.
