VIDEO: A wintry Friday, but a possible cyclone for Christmas Eve?

It’s snowing in some parts of the South Island today with a chance of a frost early into Saturday morning.

The cooler change spreads up NZ resetting temperatures to normal for some and going below normal for others.

Next week NZ’s weather is dominated by a lot of high air pressure. We’re continuing to track the likely cyclone north of NZ – with some modelling suggesting NZ may be directly impacted around Christmas Eve.

We can’t stress enough this is not yet locked in – but we’re sharing what the reliable models we trust most are suggesting.
