VIDEO: A burst of rain for NZ Wednesday/Thursday, then colder southerlies off & on

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The North Island has a couple of cooler nights on the way but the South Island is warming up with nor’westers developing ahead of a cold front on Wednesday.

This front will bring rain to the West Coast with heavy falls and then moves into the North Island on Thursday and falls apart – we bring you the latest rainfall totals expected. We also have a look at the weekend where high pressure builds but so too do south to south east winds.

We have a colder end to the working week and a colder start to next week too thanks to a combination of high pressure and southerly flows.
