Today’s 7 Day Pacific–wide forecast will have special focus on the Coral Sea area and the Tropical Cyclone threat for Queensland. Tomorrow, Wednesday, we’ll have another update on this cyclone only.
We track the storm’s path from the Solomon Islands, over the Coral Sea, and into Queensland – where exactly it will hit is still not known and may be anywhere from Cairns to Brisbane which is a large ‘cone of uncertainty’.
Across the rest of the South Pacific it’s a wetter week for Tahiti, Rarotonga and Tonga/Niue area. But drier for Fiji and Norfolk Island.
In the North Pacific it’s stormier for Alaska and coastal British Columbia, but Hawaii is looking mostly dry. Japan, like NZ, is changeable at this time of year too!
We also have an exclusive 7 Day Rainfall Map for the Pacific Region – to help make sense of where the showers/storms will mostly be and where the large dry areas are.
