As we do each week now we have a special Australia-only 7 day forecast covering from today through to Wednesday next week.

Generally speaking high pressure covers much of Australia while low pressure storms in the Southern Ocean continue to skirt by.

This set-up encourages more spring-like changeable weather in the south of the nation but is making for hotter, longer dry spells in the east.

A number of main centres have hotter bursts of weather in the coming week – but rain and wind is still a feature from Perth to Adelaide, Melbourne to Hobart.
