This Thursday attention turns to the matters of the heart and if you’re planning something special outdoors then the weather plays an important role.
It’s shaping up to be largely dry with temperatures warming up slowly after a relatively coolish Wednesday.
“Most of us should be fairly happy with what will be delivered on Valentines Day” says Weather Analyst Richard Green.” We may not be able to guarantee what happens for those sending or giving something special but the skies above appear to be behaving at this stage”.
WeatherWatch.co.nz see some some showers possible along the east of the North Island but a weakening southerly might struggle to push much activity through.
Outdoor dining can be a popular choice on the day or evening and although breezes in some cases could be a little cool hopefully they’ll not be very gusty.
Our pick is for Nelson and Blenheim looking to have ideal weather conditions with largely blue skies and coastal sea breezes.
Temperatures should be in the low twenties during the day and cooling off to the high teens on Thursday evening.
