Some rain relief is heading to dry parts of New Zealand on Friday but it has a bit of a hit and miss nature to the heaviest falls.
Even within some regions there may be parts that get a soaking while others only get a bit of drizzle and a few showers.
Being slow moving increases the chances of higher rainfall totals but the rain is only mostly around for Friday, by the weekend much of it shifts to the eastern North Island or evaporates.
Here’s the latest from both ECMWF (Europe) and GFS (America) covering from Noon Thursday to Noon Saturday (48 hours).
