It’s been a very wet day for much of the North Island so far – with heavy showers and steady rain across many main centres in both islands.
Farmers in drought zones have been in touch with WeatherWatch – Canterbury in particular has seen some good moisturising rainfall in the most needed areas.
There have been reports of thunderstorms in the Waikato and CNI – but our Head Weather Analyst Philip Duncan has more information on what’s ahead for the rest of the week.
