A low sits in the Tasman Sea today however it doesn’t affect New Zealand’s weather till tomorrow.
For now conditions are still fairly good across the country. For the North Island it’s mainly sunny with westerly quarter winds in the west, Taranaki southwards through to Wellington winds tend southerly, still mainly sunny here also.
The east coast of the North Island sees a mix of sun and cloud with southerly breezes.
The South Island is mainly sunny today for most, any morning cloud in the east burns away. Southland stays mostly cloudy for much of the day with winds tending more southerly there. About inland hills and ranges some cloud builds in the afternoon which could result in a late afternoon / evening isolated shower especially about Central Otago.
