Most of New Zealand is mainly settled today thanks to high pressure, there is still a few showers for the eastern North Island but these gradually clear from the south.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, cloud north of about Auckland with the chance of a shower (especially morning then again later in the day). Southwesterly winds.
Highs: 14 – 16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning cloud clears then mostly sunny, some cloud hangs about Taranaki for the rest of the day. Southerlies die out in the evening.
Highs: 6 – 14

Eastern North Island

Showers clear from the south with sun increasing, last of the showers clear Mahia Peninsula and Gisborne in the afternoon. Fresh southwestlies ease later in the day.
Highs: 11 – 14

Wellington

A mix of sun and cloud, fresh southerlies ease from afternoon.
Highs: 10 – 11

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny, cloud develops mid to late afternoon for Nelson, evening for Marlborough. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 11 – 13

Canterbury

Morning cloud clears then sunny, southwesterlies tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 9 – 11

West Coast

Mostly sunny, a few clouds from afternoon. Showers for Fiordland later in the day. Light winds.
Highs: 11 – 14

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny with light north to northwesterly winds. Afternoon northeasterlies for coastal Otago.
Highs: 11 – 13
