Anticyclonic conditions keeps the weather fairly settled again today, plenty of cloud about though especially this morning. High cloud moves into many areas from the west during the day.

Auckland & Northland
Sunny spells about Auckland, mostly sunny for Northland. Expect west to southwest breezes. Eastern parts of Northland may see a sea breeze develop along the coast in the afternoon.

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of
Plenty

Sunny spells with westerly breezes after a potentially cloudy start. Winds
may tend north to northwesterly in the afternoon about the Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 21-23

Eastern North Island

Sunny spells with light winds, afternoon easterly breezes. Some high cloud
moves in later in the evening.
Highs: 22-23

Western North Island

Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells with westerly breezes, some high cloud
develops in the evening.
Highs: 18-19

Wellington

Mostly sunny with northerly breezes, becoming brisk in the evening. High
cloud evening onwards.
High: 19

Nelson

Mostly sunny, light winds and afternoon northerlies. Some high cloud
develops after midday.
Highs: 20-21

Marlborough

Sunny with some high cloud developing later in the afternoon, light winds
then northerly breezes develop after midday.
High: 13

Canterbury

Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells with easterly winds developing, some
high cloud from afternoon.
Highs: 19-20

West Coast

Chance of an early drizzle patch then expect a mix of sunny spells and some
cloud with light westerlies. Cloud thickens late afternoon.

Coastal Otago

Cloudy areas break to sunny spells with northeasterly breezes developing in
the morning, high cloud develops from afternoon.
High: 17

Central Otago

Mostly sunny with light northerlies, some high cloud from midday. Winds may
tend southwest during the afternoon for some.
Highs: 21-22

Southland

Mostly sunny with light winds, some high cloud develops from midday.
Overnight spots of rain possible with light northerlies.
