A large anticyclone lies over New Zealand today bringing mainly settled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny, morning cloud for eastern coastal Northland clears away. Light southeasterly winds die away then expect light onshore winds in the afternoon.
Highs: 15-17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny, light winds tend to the west or northwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-15

Eastern North Island

Sunny about Wairarapa, early coastal cloud clears. Further north expect morning cloud, risk of a shower then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon as southwesterlies tend northeast.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington

Mostly sunny, northerlies develop in the morning.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, afternoon north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-19

Canterbury

Sunny, afternoon northeasterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast

Cloudy areas for South Westland, the odd drizzle patch for Fiordland from afternoon. Mostly sunny for North Westland, there may be some cloud from afternoon. Light winds tend to the west in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-17

Southland & Otago
Sunny, some high cloud possible for Southland. Northwesterly winds for most, light afternoon northeasterlies for coastal Otago.
Highs: 15-19
