Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Rain, possibly heavy with thunder moving though Northland in the morning then further south in the afternoon, easing by evening. Northerlies change northwest as rain moves through.
Highs: 18-21

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly cloudy with the chance of a shower, rain moves in during the afternoon, possibly heavy evening then easing as north to northeasterly winds tend breezy northwest.
Highs: 15-18

Eastern North Island
Some morning sun then high cloud thickens, scattered rain late afternoon / early evening then clearing. Increasing north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 18-20

Wellington
Showers then evening rain, blustery northerlies tend strong northwest overnight.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson
Scattered rain, heavy at times from afternoon in Nelson then clearing overnight as breezy northerlies change northwest.
Highs: 16-17

Canterbury
Thick high cloud, overnight spots of rain. Breezy northeasterly winds.
Highs: 16-19

West Coast
Rain, becoming heavy late afternoon / evening with possible thunderstorms then clearing overnight as northeasterly winds change westerly or southwest.

Thick high cloud, some late afternoon or evening rain as northeasterly winds change westerly.
