Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy, chance of a few showers from evening then overnight rain. Northeasterly winds freshen during the day.
Highs: 16-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Plenty of high cloud with brief areas of sun breaking through at times, overnight rain. North to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 12-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny areas and thickening high cloud, light northerly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Wellington
Mostly cloudy with northerly winds.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson
Increasing high cloud with light north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-16

Canterbury
Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, light east to northeasterly winds.
High: 13

West Coast
Plenty of high cloud, some rain later in the evening or overnight. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-15

Southland & Otago
Any morning spots of rain clear about Southland, plenty of high cloud otherwise with light winds.
