Mainly settled weather for New Zealand today with light winds as high pressure dominates our skies. Some cloud however about mainly in the morning and afternoon / evening about inland areas, hills and ranges.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with light winds. Cloud may build a little in the afternoon especially about Northland with the chance of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening.
Highs: 16-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny weather with a little cloud during the afternoon, light winds.
Highs: 15-17

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with a little cloud mainly from afternoon, light east to southeasterly winds. There may be an isolated shower or two in the ranges behind Gisborne late afternoon / evening.
Highs: 15-16

Wellington

Mostly sunny with light winds tending southerly.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny areas and some cloud, cloud thickening up in the afternoon then breaking later in the evening or overnight. Chance of a light drizzle patch late afternoon / evening for inland areas. Light winds.
Highs: 15-16

Canterbury

Morning cloud breaks to a few sunny areas, in the afternoon cloud thickens up a little again mainly inland, there may be a light drizzle patch or two for inland areas late afternoon / evening then cloud breaking away overnight. Light winds tend northeasterly near the coast.
High: 14

West Coast

Mostly sunny with light winds tending westerly.
Highs: 15-16

Southland & Otago

Morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, cloud near coastal Otago may remain fairly persistent till evening. Light winds.
Highs: 13-15
