Sunny areas and some cloud, cloud a little more persistent in the east with the chance of a shower or two especially late morning and around midday.

Auckland
Mostly sunny after morning cloud breaks away with southeasterly breezes, there may be a shower out near Great Barrier Island or for northern parts of the city especially in the morning otherwise mainly dry weather persists.
High: 27

Bay Of Plenty

Periods of cloud and sunny spells, east to southeasterly breezes. Late
afternoon / evening there could be a shower or two about.
High: 26

Waikato & Central North Island

Mostly sunny with southeasterly breezes, chance of an isolated shower late
afternoon / evening otherwise dry.
Highs: 24-28

Eastern North Island

Patchy drizzle about Gisborne turns to showers in the afternoon, showers or
drizzle moving into Hawkes Bay late afternoon after morning sunny areas.
Easterly winds. The Wairarapa stays dry for most of the day.
Highs: 22-23

Taranaki

Sunny with light winds in the morning, afternoon west to southwest
winds.
Highs: 24-27

Western North Island

Mostly sunny weather with easterly winds tending more southeast in the
afternoon.
Highs: 27-28

Wellington

Sunny with northeasterly winds, some late evening cloud.
Highs: 25-26

Nelson

Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning then afternoon northeasterly
winds.
Highs: 24-25

Marlborough

Mostly sunny with northeasterly breezes, winds tend southerly
overnight.
Highs: 26-27

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, southerly breezes. Winds tend east to
northeast in the afternoon Banks Peninsula northwards. Late afternoon or evening
lower level cloud moves in from the south.
Highs: 22-25

West Coast

Sunny areas and some cloud, light winds. About Fiordland expect cloudy
skies and rain, easing to showers in the afternoon. Warmest temperatures about
inland Buller.
Highs: 20-27

Coastal Otago

Cloudy with southerly breezes, chance of some drizzle.
High: 18

Central Otago

Mostly cloudy, chance of a light shower mainly morning. Light winds tend
southeast.
Highs: 20-21

Southland

Cloudy with southeasterly breezes. Drizzle patches, more so in the morning,
dry breaks at times in the afternoon.
High: 18
